The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Serum

SAM_7252

This product for me has been a prime example of one of those that you use at first and think it’s good, but you don’t actually realise just how good it is until you rediscover it a few months down the line! As my skincare routine is always switching up, it can be difficult to identify exactly which products are responsible for my bad/ good skin days. I get by this by only introducing one new product at a time but can often get too excited with an array of new products to try so just go for them all (we all do it... don’t we?!).

I’m a big fan of The Body Shop and love and use so many products from their various ranges. The vitamin E range has been one of my firm favourites, although I’ve found a few of their products to be a little too heavy for my combination skin and can make it overly oily. I picked up this Vitamin E moisture serum last Summer, but it hasn’t really stood out until now, when I found it whilst packing up my beauty bits (the big move to London is on Sunday!!). I’ve used it again for the past three days now and my skin is just so smooth. Not only does it feel a lot smoother, but it also looks smoother which has consequently left my foundation looking a lot more even than usual with pretty much a flawless finish - I’m so happy about this!

It’s designed for use under a moisturiser day and night, to provide intensive, continuous hydration and protection whilst immediately smoothing skin. I completely agree with everything it ‘promises’! Saying this, I’ve been using it alone without an added moisturiser on top and it works amazingly. It’s just the right amount of moisture for my combination skin and it’s really light too so doesn’t create that awful greasy/ oily residue. Instead, a nourished, velvety smooth finish. It is one of the very few products I’ve used that really does seem to balance out my entire complexion and seems to be doing my skin wonders in terms of condition and appearance. If like me, you have combination skin then I’d really recommend using this product alone, or if you’ve got dryer skin then it’ll be great to add another layer of moisture as it advices.

I’m definitely going to be stocking up on this serum, it’s now a staple in my skincare routine! The Body Shop always has offers and promotions online, often something around 40% so it’s worth keeping an eye out! Have you tried this serum before? What are your thoughts?
