The Graduate

Apologies for being away for so long! Last Tuesday, after the most incredible three years, I graduated with a 2:1 in Writing Fashion and Culture at Southampton Solent uni! Finding a dress for the occasion was a task I initially definitely underestimated! Something appropriate, something that would look good under the robes and yet something that was special and that I obviously needed to really like. After trying on and ordering a shameful amount of dresses, I finally came across 'the one’, which you can see above along with my chosen accessories. I was so caught up in the moment that I didn’t manage to get any ‘outfit’ photos, although you can see it on below in my collage!

I’ve had such a lovely week! My parents arranged for them and me and my boyfriend to stay in a beautiful hotel, and then the celebrations began; champagne, meals out, cocktails and a gorgeous gift in the form of a vintage ring (so in love with it!!)!

The most surreal moment was when I picked up my graduation gown and hat, finally wearing the ensemble meant it all became so real! The whole day was so amazing and memorable and as I’m sure all of you that have graduated can agree, it’s one of those significant moments that you’re incredibly proud of and will never forget. On top of actually graduating, my group of uni girls decided to make a whole week of it, so we transferred ourselves to the ‘party hotel’ (so it became) and partied nearly every night as though we were students again. With 15 girls reunited, you can only imagine what went on (haha) and it really couldn’t had been any better! So rather than a productive excuse as to why I’ve been away from blogging.. I’m owning up and it’s really due to a week of partying, well deserved though I feel! Below is a tiny little snippet of my graduation day :), please do leave a link if any of you have done graduation posts, I’d love to have a nosey!
