New loves | Mixed Beauty Additions

I’ve been buying and trying a fair few products recently and branching out into new territories! Instead of posting a few hauls, I thought I’d get straight to it and share with you a few of my new loves, the products I’m particularly impressed with and that will definitely be repurchasing again! It’s a rather mixed bag of loves, so I’m sure at least one of these will entice you!
First up is a hair product, the Loreal Elnett satin heat styling spray has most definitely won me over! I bought this at first purely because I thought the packaging looked nice haha (typical me..) but the product is just as good inside! I opted for the volume one, but I’ve also used the straight one and they’re both really impressive! It doesn’t weight down my fine hair, yet this one really does seem to add volume when applied onto my roots, especially when I use it before blow drying. It sticks to it’s word and prevents flyaways and keeps my hair sleek and shiny without making it greasy. I love that it has all of these great affects whilst protecting my hair at the same time!

A visit to the Selfridges department a couple of weeks ago of course meant I had to treat myself to a little something! I went straight to Mac and was drawn to this mineral skinfinish powder, as I wanted something to slightly set my makeup without making it look dull or cakey. They matched me to the shade medium plus, which really is the perfect match for me. I’ve found it works so well when I dust an incredibly fine amount over my entire face, which keeps my makeup in place and keeps away a little bit of unwanted shine in my t-zone areas whilst achieving a natural glowing result. The only thing I would say it that this probably wouldn’t suit oily skin types, as it’s not a mattifying powder.

With my rather odd ‘obsession’ with lip balms (I cannot go a moment without applying it!) I get excited about new releases! Blistex is well known for its tingling sensation, fresh minty scents and nourishing not too shiny or sticky in the slightest texture, so is a firm favourite in my eyes! I could only imagine how delicious this new raspberry lemonade blast edition would smell/taste... and it hasn’t let me down! It still holds all of the original winning elements yet with the addition of the perfect blend of scents that are just so delicious to taste when you breath in!

This is hands down the most effective spot treatment I’ve ever used! I only get the odd little pesky spot pop up every now and then, but when one does, I pop this on and it disappears within two days (max!)! Another bonus is that this gel is a thinner constancy to others I’ve used, making it okay to be applied under makeup without it leaving behind that horrible raised residue.

Finally, this Sleek blush in shade ‘coral’. Because of the flash it looks a lot lighter here than it actually is, it’s a richer, slightly deeper coral tone is reality! As I mentioned in my previous lip love post, I’ve been enjoying wearing this with a peachy lip shade and fairly minimal makeup. I think especially when it comes to winter, my face just seems to cry out for another colour other than bronzer and this warming coraly shade adds just that! It really seems so compliment my skin tone, blue eyes and brown hair and can be worn subtly with just a light swoop, or as it’s really pigmented it’s easy to achieve quite a vibrant look. I say vibrant, because of the gorgeous coraly tones you’d never end up looking like coco the clown (thankfully!), but it creates a lovely noticeable healthy glow! It applies and blends so smoothly, is really good quality and the packaging is also a winner; small, smart, and compact with a handy mirror inside! I can see my Sleek blush wardrobe expanding rather rapidly now...

That was more of a mixture than I first thought! A bit of random post.. but these are my recently bought products that have particularly stood out to me! Do any of these fall into your own favourite products?

  1. The Elnett heat styling spray sounds great, protecting & volumising. I have fine hair but lots of it so it's always hard to get a good amount of volume, I might have to give his a try.
