The nail varnish formula we’ve all been waiting for!

Rimmel Salon Pro nail varnish- £4.49 Boots

Does a nail varnish that stays completely chip free and perfect (on natural nails) for five whole days appeal to you? Read on...

It’s no secret that it’s next to impossible to keep painted natural nails looking perfect for anymore than 24 hours (if your lucky). I’d usually paint my nails in the evening, and by the following afternoon they’re chipped and looking absolutely awful. I’m sure you can all relate to my frustration! This has happened no matter what brand or range I have used- until now that is!

Finally Rimmel have come up with a formula that takes an awful lot of wear before it even thinks about chipping! I was first drawn to this Salon pro by Kate Moss varnish because of the beautiful apricot shade and when I spotted it contained lycra I just had to give it a go. I painted them on Thursday afternoon and only now (on Tuesday morning) have I just noticed a few chips! Absolutely amazing when I take into the account that I’ve been doing so much since then and that I’d usually have had to paint my nails every other day!

The colour is really strong and pigmented (although I would recommend two coats) and the finish is so shiny and glossy! The brush is also so large that you can pretty much cover your whole nail in one stroke, another huge bonus! There’s currently around 10-15 shades in the range so I’ll definitely be investing in many more colours, ‘Soul session’ and ‘Acid house’ are at the top of my list.

If you’re a natural nail girl like me then I really couldn’t recommend this range enough! Obviously the added lycra has worked wonders! Let me know what you think if you’ve tried it!

  2. I've only heard great things about this range and really am tempted to pick one up! I enjoy painting my nails but having to do it every few days becomes a bit of a chore! This colour is also gorgeous. x

  4. This is an inspirational post - I can't tell you how sick I am of spending a fiver on nail varnishes like Topshop that you think will be good and finding they chip off after a day. I think I'll definitely be running out to get this thanks to your review, gorgeous colour too!
