The Body Shop Haul

I use quite a few products from The Body Shop on a daily basis, but when I noticed the (too good to miss) 40% off orders online I thought I’d venture out and try new things! I placed this order late one night last week when I had a sudden spontaneous urge to shop, unfortunately for me these are not rarity.. but we all love a good late night shop right?! They’ve got a code on voucher cloud to use in store too for those of you that want to smell/test before you try!

Read on to find out my first impressions...

-Camomile gentle eye-makeup remover-
As the name would suggest, this makeup remover is extremely gentle and there’s minimal stinging, yet it has seemed to do the job of removing mascara after just a few swoops! I think it’s a great price for the amount that you get and the bottle top means that it’s easy to apply to cotton wool pads without wastage. The only thing that puts me off this is the smell, to me it’s hardly bearable and I wont be purchasing it again because of this! I’d recommend for you to smell this in store before purchasing, because it is quite unique which is a shame because it’s such a great product otherwise!

-Almond hand and nail cream-
This was an impulse buy due to the packaging alone, I thought the metal tube was just so cute! I did also realise that I never actually use hand cream, so perhaps keeping this in my handbag will remind me to use it! It smells absolutely incredible too!

-Aloe calming toner-
I’m a huge fan of their seaweed toner, which seems to balance out my combination skin a treat! However, I do like to mix my skincare routine up every now and then to stop it getting used to the same products, and after reading so many positive reviews of this I just couldn’t resist. I don’t have sensitive skin myself but I think it will be nice to use a milder toner once in a while, especially in the winter. The 60ml size is perfect for travelling (which I do an awful lot of), and they’re also a great price if you’re just wanting to sample it.

-Honey & oat 3-in-1 scrub mask-
I’ve wanted this mask for a while now, ever since I smelt it in store. It really does smell good enough to eat! I’m not sure how much I agree with it being a ’scrub mask’, as it contains actual oats and to me they’re just too flimsy to make up a substantial scrub! Saying this, it does exfoliate a small amount and cleanse, polish and moisturise as it says it does! I left it on for longer than the 10 minutes it advices, and once washed off my skin felt incredible- so soft and moisturised yet it didn’t seem to make my t-zone areas greasy in the slightest. It’s a winner all round for me and I’ll be continuing to use it twice a week to give my skin that extra boost!

-Elderflower unperfumed eye gel-
I can’t believe an eye gel/cream hasn’t been a part of my daily routine until now! I’m ridiculously busy at the moment, juggling my promo jobs with my new fashion job (SO exciting) and subsequently travelling and commuting an awful lot! So my under eye bags were in urgent need of attention and this gel has been the perfect solution so far! I’ve been applying it morning and night and have noticed such a big difference! I know a lot of people keep theirs in the fridge but that just seemed like a mission to get to every morning/night, but even when kept out it creates such a lovely cooling effect around my eyes making them feel so fresh. I love that my concealer seems to stay put on top too and the gel makes it stay on smooth without creasing! Although the size of the pot seems quite small for the price, I can see it’s going to last a long time as only a small amount is needed! It's unperfumed too which is a bonus as putting anything with a scent that close to my eyes just doesn’t seem appealing.

Trying out new products can always be a bit hit and miss, but other than the smell of the eye makeup remover, I really do love these products so far! If I had to pick my top one to recommend, it would be the eye gel- if you haven’t tried it then you really need to! What do you think of these products? Have you tried any?
