I had such an amazing birthday whilst in Mallorca, mainly thanks to my boyfriend! We spent the day sunning ourselves on a beautiful picturesque private beach in a cove and went out for a lovely meal at the marina in the evening! Followed by lots of (very strong!) sangria, champagne and birthday chocolates, candles and the happy birthday song from the very cute owners at what had become our favourite bar! It was a truly memorable birthday!
I spotted this absolutely beautiful dress in Zara back in April and it was love at first sight! Despite my birthday not being until June, I just knew I had to have it and save it for the occasion. It's the perfect length for my 5’7 frame and as with everything from Zara, it’s really good quality. It’s one of those dresses that you put on and it instantly makes you feel amazing, which made it the perfect birthday dress and I really didn’t want to take it off! The mass of white fabric with a beautiful simple cross over cut and turned up sleeves is bought to life with the small embroidery sections, yet still remains simplistic. Which I loved.
On the model on the Zara website, the dress doesn’t look flattering at all (I definitely wouldn’t have purchased it if I didn’t see it in store!), so I teamed it with a thin belt to compliment the embroidery and pull in in at the waist. My leopard print pony fur clutch is quickly becoming my go-to bag, it added just the right amount of pattern into the outfit.
I think I’m going to struggle to find an occasion to wear this in England, for one we rarely have scorching hot heat, and for two, to me it just has ‘I’m on holiday’ written all over it. I'm not sure I’m ready to part with it on eBay just yet though!
