Holiday face

Makeup bag- Topshop (old)
Contour kit- Sleek
Brow kit- Fashionista
Under eye concealer- Benefit fake up
Highlighter- Topshop glow
Lip liner- The body shop

You’re all probably thinking just how controlled I was to pack just this small selection of makeup for a ten day holiday- it really wasn’t the case! Of course I packed two further makeup bags bursting with products for those ‘just incase’ moments, when in fact they sat in my case completely untouched! We all do it though- right?!

For the daytime I just wore a thin layer of mascara, some concealer under my eyes and a bit of bronzer as my face never seems to be as tanned as my body. Surprisingly I didn’t end up touching any of the new bb creams and primers that I’d stocked up on before leaving, as Superdrugs ‘naturally radiant’ face cream seemed to work wonders. I hate putting suncream on my face so this cream with SPF in was the perfect alternative and it’s packed full of natural ingredients which really did boost the appearance of my skin. It’s not too thick either so it didn’t make my face look oily/greasy in the slightest, even when I was out baking myself in the sunshine! (making myself slightly jealous at the thought- where is our British summer?!) I’ll definitely continue to purchase this, the quality is so good considering how cheap it is.

Everyone needs a Sleek contour kit in their life, especially now it’s summer. I’m still playing around to find how it works best for me, but I’m loving my new found cheek bones, courtesy of Sleek. The Maybelline cream blush is such a lovely coraly shade for a summery evening look, it blends seemlesy and has such a nice slightly shimmery effect which brightens and warms the entire face. I’ve also recently re-found my love for Topshop’s glow highlighter, applying the smallest amount above the cheekbones completely lifts your face and leaves a really nice dewy effect in all of the right places. These three particular products would definitely be my summer face must haves♡ !

Do you have any summer face must haves?

  13. Hello Zoey,

I'm also taking the freedom of leaving you this comment because I'm currently working on a fashion-related dissertation for my MSc. I'm doing a survey about the perception of young women towards today's fashion luxury brands, and if you, or any of your lovely reader, could take 5 mins and complete it, that would help me a lot :)

    Thank you very much!
