Beauty Edit- Bought!

As the Summer months are finally here and I’m off on holiday next week (SO excited!), I’ve been favouring clothes shopping and topping up my holiday wardrobe over beauty buys. So along with being happy with my current makeup products that I’ve already featured and not wearing a lot of makeup whilst the sun is shining, I thought I’d share those few beauty buys I’ve bought over the past few months and absolutely loved.

Oilo di Argan shampoo and conditioner- £5.99 each Tk Maxx
You can see my full review here. These products have completely transformed my hair and as they contain argan oil and protein it’s so much healthier, yet my fine hair isn’t weighed down as it is with other oil based conditioners.

Zara eau de toilette- £7.99 Zara
I cannot resist the bright lights of Zara, it is by far my favourite shop of the moment! The shop smelt absolutely amazing a couple of weeks ago and when asking the shop assistant what scent it was, she pointed me towards this! I’d never thought about buying perfumes from Zara and didn’t realise just how huge their range was. They’re so reasonably priced, so great for an everyday handbag scent and I managed to pick this up in a set for £9.99 along with a rollerball bottle which is so handy for nights out. I’m terrible at describing scents, but it’s so light and summery with bottom notes of vanilla... it’s to die for! It has a surprisingly good staying power too, but as it’s so reasonably priced I don’t feel guilty going overboard with multiple applications!

Barry M gelly shine nail varnish (lychee)- £3.99 Boots
If you haven’t tried the gelly shine range from Barry M, then you need to! The finish reminds me of shellac, although obviously it doesn’t last as long but has a much longer staying power in comparison to ordinary nail varnishes. Nude nails are my all time favourite, so I opted for the shade ‘lychee’ and it hasn’t been off my nails since!

Benefit fake up- £18.50 Boots
I haven’t done a blog review on this as I have just seen soo many, but I'm just as hooked as the rest of you are! As I tend to need quite a thick layer of concealer under my eyes, I used to suffer with those dreaded unattractive concealer creases, so this product was more than worth the splurge! It does exactly what it promises and has a very good coverage which is highly welcomed.

Sleek face contour kit (medium)- £9.99 Superdrug
Nobody should be without this beautiful pallet! I’m still trying to perfectly master the art of contouring, but once you get it right it can completely transform your face. I’ve been using it daily for a good two months now, yet it still doesn’t look as though I’ve touched it as the powders are extremely highly pigmented. I couldn’t recommend this enough, and it's also the perfect pallet for those bare faced summer days.

Fashionista brow kit- £7.00 Superdrug
Complete with 3 shades of shadow, a clear wax, mini tweezers, an applicator and a mirror, this kit is an absolute bargain and really good quality. The shadows provide a subtler alternative to eyebrow pencil, and the 3 shades mean you can blend them for a natural look. I’ve also been using the darkest brown shade daily to line my top lid (as the applicator is so stiff and fine) and also in the corners of my bottom lash line.

So there we have it, my tried and tested beauty edit from the past few months!

  1. I bought Fake up today as it had 10% off on Debenhams and I also suffer with horrid dark circles and creases so i'm hoping that this does the job! :)
