Wedding Guest Dress Picks

The wedding season is officially here, and an invite to a Spring/Summer wedding can only mean one thing.. a pretty new dress. I’m lucky enough to be going to two within the next two months, so I’ve been on the lookout for outfit options. In my mind, a wedding-appropriate-dress isn’t too short, too tight and isn’t ridiculously revealing. Something classy yet avoiding looking as though you’re off to a business meeting. I’m thinking a pretty, structured high necked dress that makes full use of summery colours and prints is perfect, especially if it’s a family wedding.

Here’s my top 5 wedding guest dress picks:

1. Cut out midi dress- £19.99 Missguided  2. Wiggle dress in wallpaper print- £42.00 Asos  3. Textured Evase dress- £44.99 Mango  4. Crepe seam shift dress- £46.00 Topshop ‣ 5. Dress with cape sleeve- £45.99 Zara

The beautiful Asos printed wiggled dress is my absolute favourite, I’m literally in LOVE with it! Clashing prints are massive at the moment and I adore the cut. I can no longer resist and have put my Asos premier to use (as I do most weeks oopsy) and just ordered it- I really hope it looks just as good on! Hurry up postman (outfit post to follow).

The scarlet/orange Missguided and Topshop dresses will look great with a statement necklace and possibly a thin clashing colour belt. The sleeves are what drew me to these, I’m loving anything with this length sleeves at the moment.

I know you aren’t meant to wear black to a wedding, but I think this Mango dress could be an exception. I love the neckline and the pretty textured fabric takes it beyond just being a black dress. I instantly want to team this with yellow neon accessories, but I think any colour and pattern would work.

The yellow Zara dress has the most beautiful cape sleeves, I love the skimming figure fit too. It would look absolutely amazing with a boldly printed oversized clutch and I think that’s all it needs- I’d keep jewellery to a minimum to make sure it wouldn’t detract from the cape detail.

Midi heel sandals- £29.99 Zara

These beauties came through the post a few days ago and I can already tell I’m going to get so much wear out of them. They’re not too high so they’re definitely daytime wearable and they’d go perfectly teamed up with any one of these dresses.

Which is your favourite wedding guest dress pick?
