|'Tropicana' Bec Winnel|
After years as working as a graphic designer, last year Beth decided to make the move to working on her art full time. "I create detailed and delicate feminine portraits which are often accompanied by elements of nature and nostalgia, reflecting my affection for the natural environment and love of finding the beauty and sentiment in old objects that were once special to someone," Bec Winnel.
To create Tropicana, Bec used pencil, watercolour and metallic acrylic ink on arches hot pressed paper. Upon finding her Instagram (becwinnel), I was so happy to see that she records the process of creating each piece. I find it really interesting to see how someone would go about drawing such captivating artwork and actually prefer looking at these to the finished article.
Here are a few of my favourite Instagrams from Bec Winnel (all of her own artwork):
Her artwork has a vibe of mystery and serenity and both her Instagram and website are full of absolutely beautiful pieces. I'd definitely recommend you check her out if you haven't already.
